Visit to Firm Rock Community Church
The year 2017 saw the region hold two meetings at the Vision Ministries’ office with the regional committee leaders and VMK staff. The meeting came up with a rotational program to visit churches. It is a way of fellowship and networking, an exchange program that that strengthens churches.
The first visit to a partner church was on 19th Feb 2017. We visited Firm Rock Community Church under Pastor Patrick Muchiri who is also the vice chair of the Nairobi region committee.
Nairobi Region Pastors Meeting
The Nairobi region pastors met to discuss common goals in 2017.This year there is expected to be more of
- Outreach/Evangelism
- Welfare which include bereavement,celebration and hospitalisation
- Leadership and management of our churches
- Education/Training
- Church building and development.
Nyanza Regional Meeting
Vision ministry Kenya, Nyanza Region Leaders chapter, gathered at Grace Chapel Kagan Village on 3/01/2017 to strategize and plan for the year 2017.These leaders were determined to ponder their intelligent ideas and come up with a scheme that they would adopt to ensure the Vision ministry Kenya and its partner churches is continual and focussed in 2017.As well they were extremely ready to hear from the Director of Vision ministry Kenya,Bro. Ishmael Okuku who was to address the meeting’s major agenda.

Nyanza region’s chair for Vision Ministry Kenya also addressed the pastors,and emphasized that Partnership is very vital in ministry work. It encourages coming together and pulling together towards a common goal by individuals with a common goal or interest.He emphasized more to the leaders that they should unite and work to ensure God’s work is elevated.

COUPLES MEETING QUEST
The leaders were eager to organise a couple conference this year. This idea was welcomed by every leader in the meeting. The leaders proposed to have their wives accompany them to the meetings because that will as well be demonstrating the power of team idea and empowering women.

Training at Obunga
The church members at Obunga church were happy to host part of delegation from Vision Ministry Kenya.They were eager to be trained on Church planting,effective leadership and empowering women and the youth.
They comprehensively went through the Jethro manual ,and sheep without shepherd manual.
