VMC is a Registered Charity and our financial records and systems are subject to an external audit performed each year by an independent firm of Chartered Accountants. The financial statements are available on request. Receipts are provided annually. VMC subscribes to the Seal of Financial Accountability as members of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC) and are subject to their requirements and recommendations pursuant to their annual review. Spending of funds is confined to [board/charity] approved programs and projects. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the [board/charity], the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most needed.
